Dunno about that.

Cos of the lack of cables in this country, I'm waiting for one from Japan. ATM I've got a highly-sought after VGA cable but nowhere to put the AV cables as my amp is too far away. Go figure.

Waiting for an S-Video cable from Japan.

Will that do the trick? Would it work with a laptop monitor? Mine has an S slot thingy but that may only be one that sends the image out to a telly, not necessarily sends things into the monitor. I don't know about these things.

Great article.

Insofar as the f*ck up goes, it's less the fact that getting a console is frustrating, as that's a given at this time of year and the demand. It's just HAVING one and not being able to hear the bloody thing that's an issue.
