Default Best eBay Purchase - What was Yours?

Now, I've only made two, but I don't think I'll find something quite like this.

The Tex Murphy Double Feature. Can't wait.

My best eBay purchase was my Holy Grail of Adventure Gaming, a mint condition Secret of Monkey Island.

After that I just felt that I had accomplished something very big.

I enjoyed my first eBay purchase immensely - the DVD version of Wing Commander 4.

The best though: not terribly interesting, this, but I bought an AMD Athlon XP 2400+ for around £50. I sold my AMD Athlon 1300 (Thunderbird) for about £5 more the following week. Essentially I upgraded my computer and made a profit.

The mind boggles.

I always used to watch Dr. Who on PBS here in America. They don't show it anymore. I'll have to Netflix it. Even with the outdated special effects, it's so fun to watch.

There's a new series now, you know... it was revived last year. And, looking at that link, there's some kind of crazy spinoff in the offing! Awesome!

It really depends who your favourite Doctor was, but if you're indifferent, then of the DVDs currently released, you should look out for...
The Talons of Weng-Chiang (Tom Baker)
The Ark in Space (Tom Baker)
The Caves of Androzani (Peter Davison - one of the cheapest-looking episodes ever, but a great villain!)
Ghost Light (ol' Sylv - this one makes no sense, but it's great to watch and also the last recorded of the original series - sniff sniff)

Then go for the rest.

Woo Hoo! The new Doctor Who looks awesome. I wonder if they'll even go to the trouble of getting on here in the states. It'll probably be on BBCAmerica (which I don't get). That spinoff looks awesome too.

I like all the Doctors so I'll definitely look into your suggestions. Thanks.

So far I have only seen one episode, and I loved it. I love the fact that the TARDIS actually has a control that requires pumping (creating an especially nice effect with the newer control room. I saw one episode of the Ninth Doctor.).

I always wanted to explore the TARDIS. They would hint at the terrific rooms that were back there but they never showed them.

I've hijacked this thread. (sorry)
I'm just letting my geek flag fly!

*gets rolled up navy blue flag*

I think you'll like this...

*unrolls flag. It says 'Geek Pride! and has diagram of a caffeeine molecule on it*

What do you think?

Anyway, Doctor Who is awesome. I want to explore the TARDIS as well. I mean, it's a police box! I especially want to see the TARDIS-Kitchen. The sound of it makes me grin for some reason.

By the way, have you seen "Scream of the Shalka"? The Animated webshort of Doctor Who? It is great. I am watching it right now. You can watch it here at the BBC site
(And is it just me, or are you also reminde of Chaos from LOOM by Prime?)

I'll have to watch it at school. I'm on dialup at home.

I have to admit:

Spoiler:
I haven't played LOOM. It's one of the classics I'll have to catch up on sometime. I've been picking up some of them on Ebay.

Well, at least you are doing something about it. Anyway, I have to correct myself on the matter of Prime a little bit. She's more of a combination between Chaos...and an evil Miss Marple (If that is even possible).

Also, I am glad that you like our flag. *waves flag*

There have been glimpses of the rest of the Tardis. For the most part they've been very disappointing! One of the areas we once saw looked very much like an old abandoned swimming pool, probably because it was. You'll just have to studiously work your way through all the available episodes if you want to see them all.

There are loads of clips of the original series on the BBC web site, if you want to waste a few hours!

Oh man, I love this one too much. Those two got married you know!

Dr Who r0x0rz. I even liked the TV movie, despite its atrocious plot .

A sealed copy of the Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition. For £3.

I have low standards . Seriously, though, I only ever buy hard-to-find games on Ebay, so take your pick from Duke, Simon the Sorcerer 3D, The Ultima Collection, Little Big Adventure and Shadow of Memories...
