I am finding it very good. You can create games with real dialogues (Plugin)
3rd person(plugin). There is lots of facilities. Games can be created without scripting. It is mainly designed for point and click. It keeps getting better IMHO. For me it is the easiest way to make a game without spending years learning how to learn a programming language Games can be made into an executable or run off CD. It has a great help files that come with the program. http://www.adventuremaker.com I am currently using the program for my game. http://www.questforutopia.iinet.au Mark |

Personally, I think you should have the story be about another prisoner at the Villiage, rather than the protaganist of the original show. Allows you to put a bit more spin on your character, and his/her background.
Fer instance, maybe the main character could be brought in along with a close friend/partner, who is part of the same outfit. Anyway, as the story progresses, you can play around with that other character, such as having him/her appear to have broken (betraying the hero), having worked with The Village all along, and then maybe even throw in a clone story, in which your partner was replaced by a Village spy, but never betrayed you. Dunno. I'm just thinking completely off the cuff here. I'd also suggest you look into getting the new Paranoia XP RPG for reference material. Not exactly like The Village, but definetly twisted enough to give you some ideas. Plus, who's to say that they cheery voice that made the Village announcements was ever human? Who is Number 1? SWB - Also, if you can find a transcription of Harlan Elison take on the Prisoner, that'd really help you out. He hosted a The Prisoner marathon on the Sci-Fi channel, back when the station was first starting up, and a lot of what he said was very revealing about the show.

There has already been an adventure game based on The Prisoner. It came out around 1981 or so for the Apple II. ASCII graphics and text parser. You might want to research it. (I loved this game; it was my second adventure game I ever played.)
