Completed, well made fan adventure games?
Hi, I'm new to the amateur adventure scene. I'm looking for a list of well done, completed amateur adventure games? Can anybody link to some, and are there any lists out there compiling them all?
Personally, I'm looking for good artwork, preferably 256 colors or more, sound effects, and the point and click style. The topic on The White Chamber impressed me, that team put together some high quality work. The only other fan made adventures I have thus far are AGDI's Kings Quest I and II VGA remakes. Any other notably good fan adventures? Preferably full color, not EGA. Thanks. Last edited by PsychoGoatee; 03-12-2006 at 04:12 PM. |

Cirque de Zale is a really cool fan game, about the closest thing to old LucasArts you will find in a fan game.
No action Jackson is another one of my favorites. Nice artwork quite like DOTT. Apprentice 1&2 are nice, great Artwork some annoying illogical puzzles. Out of all of these I enjoyed Cirque de Zale the most, great humor simple enough puzzles, and a crazy ending. |

Thanks for the recommendations. Could you put up some links? I saw somebody mention Aprentice before, but couldn't find the page.

In addition to those mentioned by thriftweed, let me add Out of Order, Cubert Badbone and Spooks.
Also good are A Case of the Crabs and The Goat In The Grey Fedora, two short detective games featuring Nick Bounty. (All found on the aforementioned list.)

Thanks for the recommendations folks, and especially for... the list. Nothing like a good list to get the job done.

Well I was going to recommend the white chamber, but you had it in your original post.
Anyway, here are my other favorites: Patrimonium, Spooks, Five Days a Stranger, Dead City, Cirque de Zale, Apprentice, No-Action Jackson. |

Thanks for the recommendations, very cool stuff.
I have another question: Are there any fan adventure games featuring combat? I especially enjoy Quest For Glory's mix of adventure, with a fighting system for when things get rough. |
