Shyeah right... You think you're over it, but deep inside, very deep inside... Well, it still hurts. It still hurts man, it still hurts! You know it does!!!

If sam and max 2 was re-announced, and re-cancelled, I would be hurting.

Now I'm sad, and I've only just started playing the original.

Where did everyone get "90% complete" anyway? When the game was first cancelled I heard "about 60-70% done," then after a couple weeks everyone said "oh man and it was at least 75% done too!" and a few weeks after that "they say the game was 80% done, just a little clean-up left," and now "it was 90% complete!" Give it another year, and we'll be hearing about how the game was 100% done, had in fact already gone gold and through manufacturing, but the 300,000 boxed copies of the game were incinerated in a giant furnace to generate electricity to power the new Lucas Letterman Center Presidio building.

I had heard that the voice and music were both nearly completely done and that quite a lot ("most") of the art was done, especially for the mini-games, but that that almost none of it had been lit yet, and next to none of it had been "stitched together" in any coherent form as a fully playable game, and of course hadn't gone through testing yadda yadda, so I think the earlier "60-70%" estimates were probably accurate overall? It was predicted, at the time that it was cancelled, (at least as far as I heard through the grapevine) that they were a few months away from having the first episode or two out of six ready to ship, but a ways off on assembling the full story into a shippable game.

That's all just stuff I heard, though, through second hand sources in LucasArts or from ex-employees, but nobody on the dev team has ever really told me about the game... Not that I've ever had the guts to ask though, really.

So then there was definitely going to be a delay to Summer or Fall of the year, as the previews suggested.

Although I was sad for S&M 2, I think I was more sad when they announced Full throttle's sequel being cancelled. I was really looking for that game, seeing how excited I was with the screen shots.

seeing Max walk across that room brought a tear to my eye... one day we'll see a Sam and Max 2.. i'm never gonna lose hope.. theres too much love out there for these characters.. I often come across people talking about sam and max just in random conversations.. it seems everyone has either played the game, seen the cartoon or read the comic.. they will live on damnit!
