Default selling adventure games - please help.

I'm in quite desperate need of cash and, since I very rarely play the adventure games I possess, I'm considering selling them, and the majority of the Sims expansion packs (I'd be alot happier with that as I can still keep the game installed on my system, just sell the other discs)
Anyhow, how much, roughly, do you think I could get for the following games?

Lucasarts entertainment pack (Grim, Sam n Max, Full Throttle and the Dig)
Monkey Island Bounty pack (1,2 and 3)
Escape from Monkey Island
all the broken sword games
Jack Orlando
Myst and Riven

Think that's about it.

Will the Jack Orlando run on Windows XP? If it will I would be interested in that, but I already have Broken Swords and Mysts I + II, and none of the other stuff appeals to me.

Some of these you'll get more for than others. In particular Myst and Riven can still be bought new - I got the 10th anniversary edition with Exile too for $10 including shipping so you wouldn't get much for those games.

I would look on eBay and see what the going rate for them is. I know, because I've been buying them, that the Broken Sword games can fetch a few bucks in the States. I was lucky to get BS II for $5 'buy now' - I guess the seller hadn't looked and saw that bidding on that game usually went to $10!

Andy.

The monkey island bounty pack and the lucasarts entertainment pack are your best bet. I'd say they're worth at least $60 and $50 respectively. The rest is probably not worth more than 5-10 dollars each.

Thanks guys. I'm certainly going to sell the sims plus expansion packs first, then, if the need for cash gets v. desperate, see if there's much local demand for the adventure games I've got.

Adventurefan - I'm trying to lay my hands on a copy of the Lucasarts Entertainment Pack. If you still have your copy, or if you have any information about where I might find a copy, please let me know. you can email me at [email protected]. (Don't include the "BLAH" in the email address...) Thanks much.

Ah... I'm really sorry Biosauce, but I'm actually in not such a desperate situation now, and don't plan to sell any of my adventure games unless the finanical situation gets much worse. If you live in the UK, I would recommend checking local games shops (particularly those that allow PC game trades - always a good way of finding the no longer produced games.) or try ebay.

That was over a year ago. Today, very few adventures are worth anything on ebay. No demand.

seeing as youre uk based, and want to not spend a fortune on shipping either presumably, i would research a bit on ebay (using worldwide search, just for comparison) and get some price ideas that way.

This is a very old thread. adventurefan isn't selling anything anymore, and therefore I'm closing this.
