Atlantis (evolution) has already been mentioned, so we can rule that one out

It could in fact be Nibiru: MOTG - consider that it's a remake, and the AG article says the release date is Q4 2004 (although the article ends with Q1 2005), and that's not all that far away (compared to other upcoming AGs).

Other possible candidates:
Still Life (Q1 2005)
Runaway 2 (doubt it)
Legacy: Dark Shadows (also likely)
Lost Paradise

Can't wait... Only four hours and it's monday on Nuku'alofa.

First guess was Psychonauts, but coming to think of it, maybe not. I'll just wait and see.

If it's Still Life I'll go NUTS. That's my most wanted adventure game...

Cool. You might be interested to know that there will be a Moment of Silence review in the next Inventory. It's a review of the German version. I think the new issue comes out Monday. I reviewed Myst IV and BeTrapped! for it.

I'm betting Still Life too. I really _hope_ it's Still Life, as that's one of the games I'm really, really looking forward to right now.

Just had a thought. You might consider hosting a Bit Torrent tracker for the demo as well in order to reduce overall server bandwidth. It's what the system was designed for and it might keep the monthly hosting cost down

My guess is that it is a small homemade text adventure with 150 MB of random bits to fill out the space and fool us all.

Ooh... Yeah, Still Life. That would be great.
If Stinger hadn't ruled these two out, I would have thought The Moment of Silence or Fahrenheit would have been very likely, as well.

My bet is that this is all just some sick joke and there isn't going to be an adventure game demo released on Monday at all.

In actual fact it's going to be...Star Wars: Episode III
Thanks a bunch for stringing us along AG.

I've got more information on the system requirements for this demo. You will need a 3D accelerated videocard (at least TNT2 generation, though a reasonably modern Radeon/GeForce card is recommended), 256 MB of RAM, 200 MB of free disk space and DirectX 8 or higher.

So yeah, it's a text adventure.

I'll definatly help you with the seeding if you do that, i ran my own tacker for a few months dedicated to nothing but adventure game stuff. i had to shut it down because it slowed down my internet soo much. it would take 5 miunts to load a simple webpage.

Yep, a text adventure where the text is rendered in full time 3D with nifty texture on the letters. Lots of effects on the writing when you type and such things. Simply the game of the year.

Could this be The Next Big Thing(tm)?

It's text, but not as we know it...
