Lauren (or even Rosa) Blackwell's apartment. It's small, but like a number of NY apartments, it's probably rent-controlled And it's a subway-ride from great jazz bars, record stores and the New Yorker's headquarters.

Of course, only Dave Gilbert would know for sure if it's rent-controlled.

I totally agree! I can't believe there are other people out there that feel the same.

BTW, this is an excellent topic. Personally, as in the real life, I always prefer homes with a big dose of classical and cozy to the modern ones. In those, I always feel comfortable as in a spaceship, especially when they use only ceiling lights, which is often the case.

for me cosy has sth to do with wood.i found the pub in Ireland in BS1 really cosy.and it was more than half in wood.
