... which is why the location was not in the original BS1 and only added in the director's cut.

No, but almost! This location was first featured in the GBA version of Broken Sword - The Shadow of the Templars, which was a hint for the upcoming Broken Sword 3, where you visit Mountfaucon, and go beyond that door!

EDIT:checked it out and i was wrong....how can one time mess up my recollection of the game :S.anyway Last edited by jhetfield21; 01-03-2011 at 10:02 AM. |

I think you read the article right, but the article didn't really probe very deeply. Charles is a very optimistic guy, and it's easy to get caught up in his genuine enthusiasm for new projects. But reality has its own ideas, and tends to interfere with even the best laid plans. I think that was the case with BASS2 years ago as well. Wanting, yes... planning, yes... writing, maybe. Actually making... not so fast.

I've been playing the Director's Cut on the iPhone and agree about the early Nico stuff feeling forced in, but I haven't noticed some of the other things people here have brought up. I only played the original once and it was years ago. (Although I did replay the beginning of the GBA version on my DS, don't think I got too far with it though.) Guess I'm not a Broken Sword purist. |

Great news about gog.com making the original version available. Now I can buy it.

At least, now my appreciation of the opening scene on the original doubled.
