Default My collection so far

Hey all, I've been playing AG's since I was 13, and have always kept good care of my boxes. I thought I'd share what I have over the past 15 years.

Let me know what you think

Very nice collection.

I wish my games were as nicely preserved as that.

That's just beautiful.

Now I'm feeling all nostalgic towards the times when you could walk into a computer store and browse those boxes. In times before the internet, that was all you had to go on. I still have several of those boxes myself. Several floppy's no longer work, though.

I know what you mean, about the going into stores part. Those boxes are just so amazing. Seriously beautiful. Today's standards don't compare at all IMO. I've only got most of those lucasarts games in the lucasarts archives, and they really don't compare to those boxes. I'd love to start getting more big box versions but 1) they're never on offer when I'm bothered to look for them, and 2) if they are I'm usually too poor to afford them. Except German versions. German versions are always bloody around, and not for too much either. Maybe I just need to start learning... want to help, DaveyB/Fien?

I agree. I just got my Hero's Quest original box in and Quest for Glory I, II, and III in. All original box art and in mint condition from other collectors that I just was able to buy finally.

I remember going into Comp USA and Computer City and browsing shelves and shelves of this beautiful box art and how much work went into each game. It sure isn't the same now a days. I love the Adventure Company stuff but it doesn't have the same art to it.

Wow, just wow. Very nice and quite extensive collection. At any one time I probably owned maybe 1/5th of that, but I never took care of them like you did. Wish I had now.

You've got such pristine copies of everything. Very impressive! Take a photo of the whole thing together for us to see!

Very nice presentation. That takes a lot of work, I know. Makes me more resolved to document my collection with pictures though that will involve reuniting jewel cases with their (carefully) flattened boxes and printed materials. I love the box art so much I've never been able to throw them away.

Having eight cardboard boxes filled with only flattened gameboxes will give you some idea of the daunting project ahead of me. Maybe a good project for when I retire.
