Default Syberia Rocks!

I love the soundtracks of Syberia I and II!! What do you think of them? I wonder why the composers for Syberia I didn't get to compose for Syberia II?

Be sure to check out my renditions of Syberia I, Syberia II, and Myst, on my YouTube site!

I'd love to compose for video games/films someday! I'm composing for an open source French video game now!

Nice tracks I'm guessing all is just played by... umm... by ear? You know, just by listening (No notes or anything like that).

Always wished I could play like that... Oh well, we can't all be winners (at least I can play in some way )

Of course everyone who does game themes should at some point do Monkey Island Any plans?

Yeah, I would love to hear some Sierra and Lucasarts themes. Monkey Island, Gabriel Knight, Sam and Max, etc.

Me too. But honestly, I hope they don't mess this game up. I think the end of Syberia II was satisfactory. Sometimes it's better to leave things the way they are.

But we have to know how Kate made it back home, don't we? ^^

Did no one realize that we've only seen the entrance of syberia? We still have the whole place to explore. I've always found it odd that everyone felt that Syberia finished at the second game. In my opinion, its unfinished. There is so much more to show.

Well, I think we've reached the climax of the story at the end of the second game.
Spoiler:
Finding those mammoths
, after everything she's been through, Kate accomplished her main goal. The rest is not really relevant. In my opinion that's the beauty of the story, and the reason I think the series could finish in the second one.

But I'm looking forward to the 3rd game anyway.

I agree with monolith. the discovery of a landmass and culture that time forgot is more significant than helping a single person fulfill his dream, although its hard to say how significant it is to kate herself.

I remember thinking the game was complete after I finished the first one. I just assumed they made it to syberia after the game was over and it was the developer's choice to leave it to our imaginations to decide what syberia looked like.

titanicpiano: you said you play by ear, how long does it take you to figure out a song? like if you hear a little melody can you instantly play it back in one try? either way it's great stuff, keep it up! request: can you play some grim fandango tunes, maybe blue casket bop, it's a piano feature. casino calavera and hi-tone fandango are other great ones from that game (whole soundtrack is awesome).

I got Syberia 1 a while ago, but haven't played it. It's next on my list to play Sorry I can't comment on the soundtrack.

I also think like that and try to pretend that Syberia 2 never happened. I loathe it. Such a terrible sequel to such a beautiful, modest little game.

Sorry, I simply have to repeat this sentiment on every possible occassion.

I look at it now like one really big game, with a much stronger first half.
