Hullo! Welcome to AG!
Runaway has a sequel! Did you try it? And a third chapter is about to come out, I think about at the end of 2009. Secret Files has a sequel as well, it came out recently. Also, have you tried the City Interactive games, namely Art of Murder 1 & 2 and Chronicles of Mystery? I seem to be suggesting them to people quite often recently. They're point-and-click adventure games with prerendered backgrounds. Most people seem to think the story and character development aren't satisfying, but they also seem to agree that the backgrounds and overall grahics are very well done. I only know that I liked them a lot, and I will keep suggesting them to anyone who asks for point-and-click games (and, in general, to anyone who asks for suggestions). Also, you might want to try NiBiRu, Overclocked, Black Mirror (oldie but goodie, also has an upcoming sequel) and Still Life (There's 2 of them. I didn't like the sequel much). Try The Lost Crown, too. It has its quirks, but it's very enjoyable. I recommend you take a look at the details you find on AG for the above games. That way you can figure out if they're your cup of tea or not. Hope that's useful. I'll come back to suggest more if anything comes to mind Last edited by ZeframCochrane; 10-23-2009 at 07:14 AM. |

Yeah, i have played runaway 2 and other games you have mentioned. i was hopping there are some older games (2003-2009) that i didn't know they exist but are in range with games that i have written.
I'll try chronicles of mystery. it looks good judging by the screenshot. thanks. P.S.the lost crown i didn't like. |

Excellent. Not sure if you're tried it already, but I would insist on Black Mirror, it came out right in 2003-04. If you find yourself to like it, you'll have a sequel to play, too.
Hehe yeah.. as I said, it has its quirks. It's probably not for everyone. It's a good thing you gave it a try, though. |

Hi Skums, welcome to the forums!
I'm tempted to suggest Secret Files 2: Puritas Cordis, since you enjoyed the first game. |

If you're looking for something like Secret Files ? I can highly recommend the Broken Sword games. They're exactly like the Secret Files games but better. I don't know if you've played them (hopefully you allready did) But if you haven't you absolutely must do so. They're brilliant !
The same goes for the Monkey Island series who are a bit like Runaway (but better) Anyways hope I haven't bothered you with something you've played allready. |
