Guybrush Threepwood needs your help!

If you haven't noticed gamespot is having an election to pick the greatest video game hero of all times.

So go there and vote on your favorite adventure heroes, and specially on Guybrush Threepwood because he is having a close match with Wander, and you wouldn't want this mighty pirate to loose his fight on the first round would you?

Guybrush has got a pretty tough match up. I've never actually played Shadow of the Colossus but I know it's like a cult classic, or something.

Phoenix Wright is getting beaten by Little Mac, who the f*** is Little Mac?

I played The Shadow of the Colossus and it really was one of the best games that i played on the PS2 but the hero, which i didn't even knew the name before this contest, its like a silent puppet...

And the screenshot and cover from the wii version they put there its not really helping at all, I think that the voting is the people who ever played Monkey Island against everyone else whether they played SotC or just looked at the pictures.

I'm surprised Guybrush is not loosing by a larger difference, Gamespot users are mainly young gamers and console gamers.

He's the protagonist from (most of) the Punch Out games.

ugh... my personal favorite, Jade from Beyond Good & Evil, is going up against Samus from Metroid, who is nowhere near as cool, but who is going to win anyway.

Like someone said, he's from the punchout franchise which is quite popular among nintendo fans.

Wander or Guybrush, I don't mind who wins. I played both games and SotC is one of my fav games. I still feel it's a bit underappreciated so I might slightly hope Wander wins. I am not gonna vote, I'll see how it plays out.

The most appalling thing about this "contest" is that Pac-Man -- possibly the most-recognized icon in video game history -- lost to a f***ing MARSHMALLOW.

Yeah the whole voting thing seems to be crap. Either gamers are truly idiots (

) or perhaps there are even some nasty people cheating on it. I doubt nothing really good can come out of it anyway.

I do wonder how they chose the first rounds? There are a lot more heros and heroines out there. Where's April Ryan? Gabriel Knight at least? How about Larry?
