Good games with egyptian setting
Is there any? Use of Eegyptian lore would be a huge plus. Might be games from other genres.

Well...there is Anch, and Anch 2 (don't know the subtitle, someting with Scarab king?)
Haven't played them, so I don't know how much of the old Egyptian lore is in these games, but they are set in Egypt.

Even though the setting is contemporary, there is load of Egyptian lore in The Dagger of Amon Ra: A Laura Bow Mystery, from Sierra. It is very nice game, way better than the first one in my opinion and literally filled with well-researched, detailed information on Ancient Egypt.

Check out Riddle of the Sphinx. You get to explore a pyramid, and even run a robot camera through one of the shafts.

Timelapse is also partly set in Egypt, along with a few other settings. I also second Riddle of the Sphinx.

The Egyptian Prophecy, made by Kheops Studios. I liked how your character visits the worlds of the Egyptian gods to communicate with them.

Broken Sword 3 has a portion of the game taking place in Egypt. And if you want to get really old-school, try Infidel.

I'd recommend Omega Stone (Riddle of the Sphinx) also. Even Gamestop gave it 8/10 citing the creator's obvious love of the subject shining through.

Although they are often considered to be among the weakest efforts of their respective companies, you may also consider Kheops' Cleopatra and Infocom's Infidel.

Everyone one is ignoring the fact that he asked about Daughter of Serpents.
From the time I played the game, it was quite interesting. Like BAT and other games of the like, its quite an open game world without a completely clear objective. For a different experience, I'd say try the game out. |
