Telltale to make Wallace & Gromit game
The "mystery franchise" people at the Telltale forums have been speculating on for at least months now has been revealed to be Wallace & Gromit.
AP report Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures - official site A surprise indeed, and it sounds like it could work. Now if only I'd seen anything Wallace & Gromit related recently..

Not "a game" but a series of games.

That is so f-ing cool! I LOVE Wallace and Gromit. I wasn't expecting that. That is a million times cooler (to me) than StrongBad. WOO HOO!
Oh and a big DRAT because now I'm moving and I can't playtest there anymore. |

I got a vague "drat, I don't work there anymore!" feeling, myself. Off I go to console myself with DeathSpank code.

Not like them!

Hm. Could be good, could be bad. I'll reserve judgment until much later, when we start hearing what the story's like.

I think this is great, but will need to take a "wait and see" attitude. Aardman Studios did such a wonderful job with Chicken Run and Curse of the Were-rabbit. (Not to mention the short features that preceeded them.) But I thought the transition to pure CGI in Flushed Away was not nearly as enjoyable.
Who knows whether Telltale will be able to harness the magic when Aardman, itself, couldn't capture it in a non-stop-motion movie environment.

Awesome news. The were-rabbit game on the PS2 was not very good, more a kiddies romp.

Wallace and Gromit is superb and i'm WAAAY more excited about it than Strongbad however there are a few worries:
* Is it using the same voices? (Peter Sallis is getting on abit) * It is British. Everytime the US remakes any british comedy it sucks ass. If they ruin Wallace & Gromit there will be a reckoning. Otherwise I cautiously wait more detail. CHEEEEEEEEESSSSEE

I hope it's clay. Otherwise it won't look right for Wallace and Grommit.
I probably won't buy it anyway. WHEN DOES STRONGBAD COME OUT DAMMIT?!?!?!?!

Actually, as a great fan of the films, you don't know how envious I am. I'd love to work on a Wallace and Gromit game. *sigh*

Damn. It would appear you're right, according to the Cheese Lover's Yearbook. However, Cheddar is right in the second slot on the shopping list. I consider my honour restored.

I'm embarrassed that I spelled Wensleydale wrongly. I'm going to have to watch all the films again just to be sure I make no other mistakes.
