All we know:

Quote:
Dreamfall Chapters is the upcoming sequel to the critically acclaimed and award-winning adventure games The Longest Journey and Dreamfall. On 1 March 2007, it was announced that unlike its predecessors, it will be released in episodic format.[1] The game is being developed by Funcom and designed by Ragnar Tørnquist.

Contrary to earlier speculation that Dreamfall Chapters would form the basis of an MMO game, the developers have asserted that the proposed game will be distributed online, but "not as an MMO"
Quote:
Story
Tørnquist since commented that the story of Dreamfall Chapters will pick up exactly where Dreamfall ended or even before that, to present its ending from an alternative point of view.[2] On his blog, he also dropped several hints at the future development of the story,[3][4] although how serious they are remains open.

All from wikipedia.

Given that Funcom is trying to get Age of Conan out of the door, I'd imagine most of their energy is devoted to that right now. I don't know whether the same team will be the ones to put Dreamfall Chapters together though, but it makes sense to me (assuming a separate team is working on The Secret World).

Its a shame its been in development for a full year and nothing to show. I'm sure they will be using the existing Dreamfall engine, they dont have much reason to change it because it looks reasonable and they have more experience with it.

I just wish there was more Dreamfall out there in some form, I'd even buy a TLJ book if they made one or a series, I'd snap that up.

I wouldn't be suprised if it wasn't even in development yet. I figure Ragnar's got to finish The Secret World before giving this project his attention.

Well Age of Conan went Gold today, so we should expect work on dreamfall chapters to speed up.

The fact that it is a predecessor to an MMO sort of kills the excitement.

I didn't follow the development of Age of Conan, but from the few pictures I've stumbled upon, it looked to me like it was built with modified Dreamfall engine.

So I kind of assumed that at the Dreamfall's project start, they took 'at-the-time-developing-Conan-engine' and modified it to serve Dreamfall's needs.

I see no reason why they couldn't use now a fully developed Conan engine and go from there with Chapters.

That's all just an assumption of mine, meaning my theory was probably wrong from get-go.

All jokes aside, I still believe that Dreamfall poster would have been great merchandise.
That concept art that Rama took, while visiting Funcom offices few years ago, really looked great.

Throw me a limited signed edition by Ragnar and I'd die a happy man.

I don't think that Poster prints would cost the company that much, if Telltale can pull it off, I see no reason why Funcom couldn't.

I would of loved it if that Dreamfall Prima Guide was released and not canned. Imagine the extras and goodies we would of gotten in that book.

I agree on the posters, I'd adore some Dreamfall posters to go on my wall along with Kylie Minogue, Lara Croft & Alex Vance.
