Detective / Noir Games Suggestions
Hi guys, I founded this site today, it´s awesome ! I remember my lovely Tex Murphy adventures that I played years ago, since then I never found a good game with same style. Anyone recomends any good game with detective and mistery plot, first person, movie like to play today that runs on XP/Vista ?!

Welcome to AG!
While you're waiting for some other replies, have a look at this welcome thread. If you scroll down, there's a link to a similar thread concerning detective/noir games. For the XP/Vista issue, I think XP is going to be much easier to deal with. Check out (and search through) the Hints and Tech tips forum for some Vista advice, should you need it. |

Noir: A Shadowy Thriller and especially The Dame was Loaded: set in the '40s, it's typical hard boiled experience, full of smoke, barber shops and, of course, extremely dangerous femmes fatales. Although it's slightly simple, it has all the qualities you're looking for, and has a great atmosphere.

Grim Fandango isalso somewhat noirish. And a great game in any case. It's one of those you almost wish you hadn't played just so you can play it all over again for the first time.

Still Life and Post Mortem and possibly also Fahrenheit (or Indigo Prophecy in the US) could probably also been seen as some detective noir games, I think.
Maybe the Delaware St. John detective games will be for you, too ??
