Default Adventures on Gametap-Point me at some?

Given the parameters that I
a) Cut my teeth on Myst & The Dig,& like story with my adventuring...
b) Would rather not die-and-start-over a whole lot...
c) Have played all the Sam & Max...
and most importantly
d) Can NOT do 360 free movement enviroments.

What should I be playing? I downloaded several that looked promising, and got hit with the evil 360. I like my Adventure without nausea, thanks. Please for the love of ghu, if you're going to make a 360 game, give me a way to lock the camera!

Ack. Honestly, its slim pickings on Gametap for adventure games. Beyond Sam and Max and the upcoming Grimm (and URA) there doesn't look to be anything of any real quality on the service. Most of the adventure games on there are scored below 5 and there aren't any real big names there (with the exception of Myst).

The only thing I can say is do what I did and lower your standards. Alot. And then be thankful you're not a huge RPGer. Those poor guys have it BAD.

Have a look at this thread for the updated adventure game list there. I'm not sure how many of those are 360 panning (I didn't look very closely).

You might like the Kheops games (they have a lot of inventory). There's also Zork Grand Inquisitor (I definitely want to play that sometime).

I was going to suggest Shadow of Destiny, and then I saw this...

In Shadow of Destiny, the whole point is to keep dying. Someone is trying to murder you and the only way to find out why and stop the murderer is by dying and then going back and doing something differently. (It kind of pokes fun at games where you can die all the time, actually.)

Anyway, your call, but it's my favorite of the adventure games on GameTap.

I started playing that one, and wasn't doing too bad. I don't mind dying when it's part of the plan, it's when I get offed for not doing something perfectly that cheezes me off.

After about an hour though, I started being woozy. :/ It makes for very cranky gameplaying, being limited to playing mostly 2D games, or games where I can be in 3rd person.
