Default S&I (Search & Identify)

OK, let's make it as short as possible. A few centimeters just below these very words there's a picture which includes a background and lots of elements from different quests.

The OBJECTIVE:
Identify the background and as many elements as you can.

The RULES:
DON'T CHEAT!!! FIRST post YOUR answers THEN feel free to check what OTHER people have answered...

Try to be as accurate as you can - name every object you identify and the exact game it is from:
Guybrush Threepwood - Monkey Island 3 - perfect answer
NOT
Guybrush - Monkey Island - partial answer

Good luck!

HEY! You're cheating!!! Don't scroll down unless you've already submitted your answers!

16. Phantasmogria Hints Button?

My go at it... (I haven't cheated!)

Spoiler:
"Quest" from King's Quest 1 Title Screen
Red Saurus from Hero's Quest (Quest for Glory) 1:So You Want to be a Hero?
The skull icon from Phantasmagoria?
The main character from Flight of the Amazon Queen (I know, partial answer, but I've never played the game!)
Otto from Hero's Quest 1
Antwerp from Hero's Quest 1
Larry Laffer from Leisure Suit Larry 6: Shape up or Slip Out
A Goblin from Gobliiins
The Sheriff's sign from Spielburg in Hero's Quest
The Schattenjaeger Medallion from Gabriel Knight 1
Roger Wilco from the box art of Space Quest 4
The "Use" icon from Simon the Sorceror
One of the pirates in SCUMM bar from Monkey Island 1
Max's ears from Sam and Max Hit the Road
Otto (Was his name Otto) from Monkey Island 1
Are the tents from Loom? Anyway, inside them is the Dry Cleaning guy from Monkey Island 2
And in the window is the boat camptain from Monkey Island 2, can't remember his name.
And not too sure on th background... It's obviously an EGA SCI Sierra game... Conquests of Camelot? (The only one I've only played through once)

There's some I didn't know, some I half (partially answered) guessed... But I don't think I did too bad.

Well, since it doesn't look like people are too cooperative about this game I don't see the point of wasting the time listing all of the elements in the picture...
For the 3 of you who did cooperate (give yourselves a pet on the back) , let me just list a few of the more well-known elements you've missed:
Manny Calavera - Grim Fandango
April Ryan - Dreamfall
Lighter gun - Day of the Tentacle
Library key - GK1
Golden parrot - MI3 (GUI)
The background is from Zak McKracken

...
.......

It's probably more a case of people thinking you're talking about an upcoming game (titled S&I:Search and Identify) then going on to other threads when they realise you're not. Nothing to get worked up about. I think you might have had more luck with replies if it had been allowed as a team game anyway. That way people that only recognised a couple of things could still have contributed without feeling they had to come up with a large list.

You say Manny Calavera is in the picture (Yes I admit I didn't play the game. Not got the broad knowledge required but I needed to glance over the thread as a mod) I still can't see him in there now. Can you point out where he is please?

That part of Manny Calavera was pure evil.

After many trials, I managed to spot Manny - he's on Joe King's T-shirt.

I think Manny is the face at the bottom of the Loom tent, below the Monkey Island Sherriff.. though I think it's a bit too hard to tell for sure.

Hmmm. On closer inspection the Monkey Island sherriff (Fester) is wearing something that looks like Malcolm's Jesters cap from the Kyrandia series.

I had to save the picture and use "closer inspection" to spot Manny, even when Ledz told me the right place. There does seem to be some sort of face on the Loom tents though.

Hey, I like the idea a lot. Having studies the picture in close detail you've fitted an enormous amount in there (the manny one being especially tough) That picture is a really nice piece of work.

Was I right about Malcolm's headgear? (I'd have to say it was in the first Kyrandia game. The resolution looks about right for that)

Thanks! I appreciate it.
Indeed you were, I actually expected more people to notice that (since it looks pretty conspicuous on Fester's head...)

Having just posted this thread I suddenly realised where I'd seen that skull moose thing on the top right. That had been bugging me because I was sure I recognised it.

It's the logo from Hoagie's T-shirt in Day of the Tentacle.

Yup That was one of the easiest... (DoTT being one of THE most well-known adventure games ever).

Since I already made 2 more pics (I originally made this game for another forum) I think I'll post them here anyway...I'm sure some of the people here would enjoy 'em.

Yeah, it was tough, but now we all have a better idea of just how devious you are at hiding these things, it should be fun!
