Looking for a new game
I'm looking for a new game, something kinda like a lucas arts classic, but more like a detective game. I've been watching alot of monk and matlock lately.
I also just picked up phoenix wright, which is very good. Still kinda up in the air about touch detective, heard it was short and not that good. Anyways, any good detective PC games you guys would recommend? |

Discworld Noir (superb game!)...
or Grim Fandago (but I expect you've played this one?), or why not try out the Sherlock Holmes games that is out for PC. You could also try out "And then there where none" and the sister game "Murder on the orient express". Also, be sure to play the Broken Sword games, all of them Last edited by Isak; 12-08-2006 at 06:10 PM. |

Any good detective game? What about the good old Tex Murphy games? Under A Killing Moon, The Pandora Directive and Tex Murphy: Overseer are all superb games!

The Shivah fits your request, and more than that, it´s a new game.

I also second Isak's suggestion of Discworld Noir.

I too second Discworld Noir's suggestion. And I'd like to add Jack Orlando. I know it has lovers and haters. Well, I happen to be a lover
And, Tony Tough, Gonchi? Did you play it? I dunno, I found it kind of dull. Mmmyeah, it looks really awesome, there's some nice dialogue, a nice main character, but I didn't like the puzzles all that much. It is like a "quiero y no puedo". Even though it is nice, and it is MOST CERTAINLY Lucas style. I just didn't happen to like it. |

Not at all. It's more action than adventure.

Meh, I was a Sierra fan.
He asked for "something kinda like" them, and both graphically and gameplaywise Tony Tough is. I would personally rate it much higher than Jack Orlando, and think he’d probably enjoy it if he gave it a try. I honestly don't remember playing that many detective themed games comparative to LucasArts' style. Ace Ventura (never played it) and Hopkin's FBI (didn't like it much) perhaps? *shrug* There are a couple of Spanish games he could look into, such as Hollywood Monsters and the Mortadelo & Filemon (Fred and Jeff/Clever and Smart) series, if he managed to somehow find them in English.
