Best adventure game ever! (And why of course)

So how about it. I Know it's been discussed a couple of times, and then some. But hey! There are some new games out (Dreamfall), so maybe some new favorites.

My number one. Sorring above all others.

GK. Sins of the fathers.

Best protagonist.
Best characters.
Best narrative.
Best research.
Great implementation of puzzles.
Loved the old-vodoo-lady-voiceover: "Gbriel can't talk to that"
