Freak Show Game - Question
I've just played the Freak Show Game and I have a question. On the jukebox that allows you to look at real freaks. On every page, under '0' e.g. E-0 - there is a name of a person and a phone number. Does anyone know what happens if you dial this number?

The game is the brainchild of the avante-gard rockish band called The Residents. Quite a rare find and there are a number of fans who would love to own this. I've nevera actually seen the game in person, so i can't answer your question. But the Residents are super-cool!

I tried selling my original, very mint copy for 20 pounds but no one was that interested. Anyway, in the game, there is a jukebox that has a list of about 100 real freaks through the ages, including the Elephant man and others with disfigurements like a man with 3 legs, people with a second body attached to them or siames twins. It also includes biographies of their lives.
To the main point, to find out about each freak, you type a number and a letter e.g. A-4 for Freak 4, B-9 for Freak 18. there are numbers up to 9. There is no 0 (Zero) button to be pressed. But, on the list, there is a freak's name under A-0 - which is impossible to bring up, but under his name there is a phone number. I'd like to call this number but it's a US number and, considering how old the game it, probably wouldn't work. I just wondered if anyone who either has or HAD the game when it was first released might know what happened if you dialed it up or if they heard what happened? |

Maybe it's the phone number of the manager of the Residents.
Or Jim Ludtke's old number, the guy behind the Freak Show. But I think he's no longer among the living. I have the Freak Show, haven't played it yet. If it's as good as Bad Day on the Midway, I should. |

What's the area code? 415 = San Francisco, where the Residents reside.
