Default Keepsake

Anyone heard of or seen this available yet? Regardless, can anyone tell me what its about? Like a short synopsis of the plot perhaps? Looks like it could be interesting, but I can't seem to find any decent info on what its actually about.

If anyone has this, how is it? Or if not, when does it come out? Thanks.

I think it's out in most of Europe (but only in April in the US).

And you can read Jack's preview here.

I just bought it. (I live in France, as stated on the left )

I need to finish Darkfall 2 and (again) Discworld before I can start playing Keepsake, though.

Excellent, thank you. I even did a search this time too, though only in the forums. Missed that preview.

Thanks again.

In the US, it's being delayed because The Adventure Company wants to make a few changes, like re-record some of the voice acting. Play the demo and talk to Mustavio and you will know this is a good thing.

Yeah.. the voice acting in English is absolutely horrid. The interface, graphics and animation are pretty nice but the voices are so bad, I don't want to play it at all any more.

from what ive heard the usa version will be a lot better, with the already mentioned improved voice acting (what WERE they thinking with that mustavio voice in the euro version!?), as well as a "map" feature which i read somewhere, but have forgotten where ;0

Yeah... I will try the USA version when it comes out. It just goes to show, for me at least, voice acting can totally destroy an otherwise awesome game.

I'm actually not very picky about voice acting. I guess I played too many action games with cinematics in my time, which makes poor voice acting in adventure games seem amazing in comparison. Black Mirror didn't even bother me that much. But Mustavio crossed the line with me.

I think the worst was Lydias friend in the keepsake movie who sound like a man trying to imitate a little girl..

New voices won't save the game - the in-text is horrible. The game itself is very poor. Light-hearted 3rd person Myst clone and one of the easiest games in the universe. With the addition of map, I guess, it will be passable in few hours.

I found the camera angles in this game extremely annoying. I'd rather get Ankh.

This is pretty sad. You must be really desperate to akin a 3rd person game you didn't like with Myst.

It's got nothing to do with not liking it. Keepsake is extremely Myst-like, except in 3/P (with a companion).

I can't imagine anyone finishing it in a few hours, though. It's not a short game.

Today I brought Keepsake. The installation is very long and contains about 10000 Files and over 1000 Folders.

The game is very good and the graphics are EXCELLENT. It is surely the game which all Adventure Fans must play. It also seems very close resemblance to "Longest journey" as the game takes place in a Magical World and the main character is a beautiful girl named "Lydia". The entire game is very rich in graphics and is in 3rd person.

I will keep you guys updated

I'm still torn over if I should buy it or not.. One of my local gamestores has imported it, but it's quite expensive: 50$ or € I'm not really sure witch is closest, and it has Starforce, witch I'm really afraid of..

It looks great though (even though I hated the demo, finished it in 10 min. because I went almost straight to the basement..) and I like 3person point and click..

The English full version doesn't have StarForce.
