I really wish there had been a way to finish that game without turning Brandon and Kallak back to their old selves.

It's Kyrandia 3. Brandon and Kallak are the two mice (the former having also been the hero of the first game in the series).

What's sad is that when I grew up, my sister and I used to play these games daily, over and over, they really became drilled into our lives and as we grew up, got older, got jobs, I still collect them, and up to a few years ago, she was still very much into them, living off memories of how much we enjoyed all the single games and the series of other games. Now she lives across the street from me, and isn't in to them at all anymore. Sucks

Anyone in the Maryland area wanna be an adventure game buddy LOL

The same goes with me and my sister. But I believe I have a little more luck, because in my case it's my older sister (who is 7 years older than I). We have a lot of shared interests, not only Adventure Games. The only problem now is the fact that she is at University on the other end of Germany right now. She's nearly finished though, so maybe she'll be able to catch up on the games I have already played, but she hasn't found the time (or which her computer was too slow for) for. And she's fast - If I start a game long before her, and am already two thirds finished, there's still a good chance she will finish earlier. It's a question of having more free time when at home. Same with books (and she's a pretty fast reader anyway).

my sister is older than me also, but only by 2 years. She got off into real life and clubs and bars, and these games don't mean what they used to mean to us. Even at 24 years old, she was very in tune and loved them, but it's really changed lately. As I sit at work, I get all fired up about playing through Monkey Island or a new adventure completely, but when I get home, I have no desire to jump into one alone. It really sucks. I just want to go into Chess Land and dissapear Is talking like this at 25 years old mean I have issues? lol

I had a boyfriend who used to play with me and I loved it. Though most of the time I end up playing by myself. I'll have to find another cool boyfriend like that. It's good time spent together.

Yes... adventure games. I was discussing the point that for 10+ years, I played them with my sister. They're not as delightful to play alone.

I must admit to being partial to playing adventure games with my brother. Of course, now that we lead increasingly independent lives that doesn't happen very often...

Well, my sister and I are both Geeks to the Core, and thus I think she will stick with Adventure Games for a long time. It's fun to reminiscise about old times, also with my other sister. We all remember all the games we played, or things that happened. My other sister was great at playing "Giana Sisters" (Like Mario Brothers, only female, and with Punk-Hair) on the AMIGA, for example.

I have pretty fond memories of waking up before class waaaay back in the day and playing Monkey Island I with my brother every morning before eating breakfast. Now days I can't get out of bed before 11 and my brother would rather shoot nazis and beat up hos than solve puzzles. Every now and then I'll catch him booting up an old Quest for Glory or Space Quest game though. I like that.
