Does anyone know if the Petka games (Screenshots) will ever be translated to English?

I doubt it. You'll not understand russian folklor and humor, even in a good translation.

Oh, you don't want to know Well, it's usually based on some sort of phrases which are taken from different films, stories, books, folklor and so on. Usually, from russian culture. Usually, they are all-known jokes. Usually most of native people recognize them quickly and starting to laugh. Well, they supposed to. But the game designers are making them more stupid and unoriginal with every new game. And there are tons of such culture-oriented adventures in Russia, as a fact. Most of them are baaaad... And are made for sale only in Russia.
There were some true gems at the beginning (97-99), some in stile of Sam and Max, some in style of Goblins, but then the quality of the games reduced far too quickly. Well, there are some games with very nice graphics, true, but the gameplay...

Perhaps just that could cause it to be surreal to the western spectator and make it a hit?

Looks like crap though...
