Well, no. I simply named it 'Myst 5' because there's a lot of mist in that picture, and it looks like it was taken somewhere about tea time (5 o'clock, that is).

I can't tell you that because I don't know that. Haven't played it yet and haven't read the reviews.
Here's another picture from the same game:

I highly doubt that the good people here will appreciate the subtlety, variety and weirdness of local idiomatic expressions. Careful with those, as you'll be taken literally, misunderstood, condemned, and burnt at stake. Not that I'd mind, considering how hard your screenshots are, but nevertheless.

...As for the screens... The first one reminds me of Liath, and the second one of... nothing.

It can't be Liath, totally different art style.

Heck, this is Zobraks: if anyone can disguise Monkey Island to look like Gabriel Knight 2, it's him.

Oh well, this will be the first time zobraks can't be the best of them all, you wouldn't believe how that makes me happy . but I'm sure you'll manage to get a good number of guesses, considering how well you know what games I like.

Fien, this is my peace offering, I really hope we can bury the hatchet now.

It looks a lot like Liath to me too, and I expected people to say it is Liath.

Oh yes, and I just know where to bury it.
Just kidding, just kidding, I'm glad we're friends now.

Zobraks, hurry up with that quiz of yours and you can finally, finally join the elite group of quizmasters.

PS: It definitely does not look like Liath to me. The Liath graphics have the magical quality of a mysterious fantasy world, which is lacking here. (And now zobraks reveals that it is indeed Liath and Fien disappears into the night, never to be seen again...)

Hah! I know the answer but as I have no great knowledge and no collection of games or screenshots and thusly don't feel I can contribute a following pic I'll post the answer in spoiler tags participating merely non-competitive:

Spoiler:
First one is Pripogala's hut in the swamp of TALE OF A HERO. Second one is Masek's (the father in law's) Tavern.

This is the first time I ever recognized anything at all on this thread.

I guess Zobraks will have to find a way how to carry on with this quiz game.

Nice start! Only 69 more gusses and you'll knock Jacques (Jacques l'aliéné, that is) out of the first place!

That's not a problem, a volunteer (probably Jon_wachter or SweetD ) will hop in.

How about yet another easy pic from your friendly neighbourhood Quiz Demon instead? *waves to ADan and SweetDelilah*

Shit! I had a pic ready and was about to post it. One minute too late.

Looks like Capri, but I don't remember this church so it probably isn't.

Well, you'll have your chance now Fien, because you're right! It's the German chapel from A Quiet Weekend in Capri! (I thought ADan would get a kick out of this particular pic. )

Aaaahhhhhhh.... Phussy Phien guessed a pic.
Why would Adan get a kick out of it?

Here's mine. Not an easy one, I think. Except for one or two regulars no doubt.

He called such a smart, intelligent, experienced adventure player, and great quiz creator fussy? Has he got some nerve
Don't worry I'm sure you will be able to beat him in my next quiz, that's why I'm giving quizmasters(you, Trunkyo, diego) 2 guesses in the both 4 hour and 12 hour periods

I just thought that since he's the initial translator for The Whispered World (and of German background) he'd find that screenshot of the chapel amusing (I even named the pic "wobinich"!) .

I was indeed surprised to see some German inscription so prominently in a screenshot. I also like anagrams so I immediately tried to figure something out with the initials but so far have drawn a blank. Maybe the puzzle has an overall different direction (like maybe the somewhat unusual typographic style of the "D").

EDIT: (Oh and by the way, I only got ToaH right because I had translated that into German).

Why would you assume there's a puzzle to be solved? It's a screenshot of a real church.

If I remember correctly, the German chapel was just one of dozens of locations on (eastern) Capri the player could visit, but it didn't figure into the game's puzzles. It would be interesting to find out if there were an actual hidden meaning in the large letters from the inscription!
