Default CSI: Deadly Intent

Hey guys... has anyone played this? Do you have any idea of stores to download this from, in Europe? I only found it on the Ubi Store and Direct2Drive, but it's exclusive for North America. Thanks

There was a demo for the 360 version and I wasn't too impressed by it, although it is cool to see Laurence Fishburne in an adventure game.

I've been googling around trying to find out how different the DS version is from the PC version. I have all on PC, and will probably get this one for xmas. But I'd like to get the DS version now (that and the new discsworld book will keep me occupied on a long haul flight). But I don't want to play it now and then it ruins playing the PC version. If anyone has played them, I'd love to know...

From what I understand the DS game is completely different than the others. Telltale developed the game for PC, Xbox, and Wii, but had nothing to do with the DS version, which was developed by a different company.

Ah excellent....from what I've read I couldn't see if it was a condensed version with some hidden scenes, or completely different. I just don't want to ruin finding out the murderers etc for when I play the PC one...

I'll be interested to hear what the gameplay is like - if it's like the PC version, or more casual.

Ursulla? Are you serious? If that is the case, then I might be interested. I'll probably check out the demo on the 360 to make up my own mind. Will still probably get it for the PC though.

Yes, could you give us more details on the game. Usually they don't get the greatest reviews but if it's a good game I would definitely be interested in buying it.

Well...
You'd better believe it...But I have never watched nor played CSI before so it's all new to me...
Also the first 31 votes at Gamespot gives it a score of 81 so here you go...

Well all I can say after one case that I'm hooked...It's just so realistic and complex...so many things to do and think about...really compelling...

Oh wait, I didn't realize that this was made by Telltale. Its great that it is the highest rated game in the series! Definitely getting it. Demo first though. Just because I want it now.

It's better then the previous installments, but not THAT good. The same "follow official procedures" gameplay, with irritating hints (even on the "Low" level) and some variety in operations (interesting, but not very realistic). The same structure of cases: about 2 hours each, 3-4 suspects. While the game is well written (as always with Telltale games), I just wonder: is it a necessary thing for CSI and L&O licenses to have lesbians in them? Not that I have a problem with it, but I think it's the 3rd or 4th game that tells the sad story of lesbian love. Like Americans have kind of a complex or smth.

Yep ,I agree....It was the only rant I had so far....
Usually with Telltale games I can block hints altogether....
Here you can't do it completely...You can choose only Low level...
For those who want to filter more hints , my advise is :
1)Don't consult your assistant at all since he will direct you to the right direction to advance the investigation....
2)Don't read the E-mails you get occasionly since they will lead you the same way...

On each case you get a score on 3 different categories how well you performed...
1)Thoroughness
2)Skill
3)Cunning
While I got a perfect score on the first two categories on my first case I got a lousy score on Cunning...
Anyone has an idea how to get a high score on Cunning ?

(I assume when you are asking a warrant based on the wrong evidence is lowering your cunning score ,anything else ?)

Yeah, I noticed that too. The reason is that it was hard to play on the 360. It requires some sort of pointing tool or mouse to play correctly.

Anyways, I loved the demo. It was what I wanted out of my CSI game. I loved the whole series, so I can't complain. Also, I was not annoyed by the hint system. I was on medium and never was bothered with too many emails. At the most, two emails.

Definitely going to pick this up on the PC.

You get E-mails once you are stuck...The game has a clever hint system...When it sees you don't make any progress for a while it starts sending you help...Way to go Telltale...
