Eye of The Kraken
I downloaded the game from the website on the homepage of AG and installed.... Thing is when I try to run this game, i get as far as an advert for Carte Blance and then it crashes back to desktop with an error message. I am running Windows XP and have tried all variations of compatibility modes to no success.
Anyone know of how to get this game working? Cheers in Advance..... |

I'm having the same problem with XP. Haven't had a chance to try it on my win98 partition yet.

I have the same problem. Maybe using the compability option and trying to make it run in win 98 mode might help out.

Oobs I didn´t see that you had already tried the compability modes. Maybe there is a patch somewhere for this game. I saw that this game is made with some adventure game creating software. Maybe something extra from the program that was used to make the game is also needed.

Works fine on my win98 partition. Still no joy in XP though.

I did send an email to a support of the company that makes this game and got this tip. It works for me so I hope it will work also for others here also.
Try this : right click on your desktop and go in "Properties" then in "settings" and "advanced", then "troubleshoot" and put the "hardware acceleration" to NONE. I think it'll work. But you should put it back after playing or some games might become slow. |
