Return to Mysterious Island

I cannot shoot the slingshot fast enough to get past the rock throwing monkeys...and evidently I cannot pass until I do. Is there a way around this??? I'VE SPENT 3 WEEKS TRYING TO HIT THEM ALL QUICKLY ENOUGH!!!

you dont have to hit them
you can get there from the other way
