hi,

i've just installed "the mystery of the mummy" on my computer. (os-xp pro).

but, here's the problem:

all i get when i load the game is a black screen and i hear the soundtrack.

so, i entered the game's web site and found out that there is a problem

running the game on win xp that had a certain security patch-from

microsoft windows update- installed on.

i would'nt like to uninstall that security patch and i apperciate if someone

could help me by offering a way to run the game without uninstalling the

patch.

Download and install Win XP pro service pack 2 beta or wait for service pack 2 . I was facing same problem and updated my win xp pro to service pack 2 beta and this lousy game started working. But after finishing this game i think its the worst adventure game i ever played.

knowing myself. i'll probably play it anyway just to find out in the end that

you were right.

on second thought... i might take your advice and not waste my time on it.

anyway, that's a problem i'll have to solve alone.

I removed service pack KBB24141 and it worked for me.
