Help with Frasse and the Peas of Kejick *SPOILER*

So I am really stuck on this game. I made it to the mountain and now I can't Figure out what to do for the life of me. I tried To go up the side with the people and I get nowhere I tried getting passed the troll nothing. I've tried the berries, asking the red monster, I even tried starting a fire but it would not let me. If anyone noes how to get up the mountain or has any other game advice for me that would be great.
