Dose anyone know how to get sanitarium to run on windows xp?
I took the advice of two posters here and downloaded sanitarium from gog.com. Unfortunately I am unable to play it. The game repeatedly crashes at random occurrences to the point where I can't even get out of the first level. I tried playing it in windows 95 compatibility mode but alas no dice. The crashes still returned. Anyone have any solutions for me?

I guess you have checked this already (don't know if includes a solution to your problem):

I'm assuming you have the original ASC games edition (the later version should work with XP straight away). The patch you need is this one. (I know it says it fixes a level 2 issue but it fixes the XP issue at the same time) Install the game then run this zipped executable and makes sure it extracts to the folder you installed the game in.
