Sinking Island Crash

Hi everyone
I started playing this game today. It's great and all, but I'm experiencing some technical difficulties. I'm not very computer-savvy so I googled it down but couldnt find anything. The problem is after playing 5 mins or so the game shuts itself, no matter what i do. It's so frustrating. I downloaded it from a torrent site but there is no explanation whatsoever to what I should do.

Please helppp

Edit:
One more thing, I have downloaded a patch from the french website. now i dont have my saved game. how do i undo it?
