Broken Sword 3 woes...black screen

I start up Broken Sword, and go to "New Game" and I get a blank black screen. If I hit some buttons sometimes I can see the white cursor. I can't even ctrl-alt-delete outta there.

I have a GeForce 7900GS.

erm i think if you goto the start button, and select the game that way, there is a safe mode? I'm not 100% sure. Try different settings until this doesnt happen, you may have the wrong screen size selected.
