Default Help getting Discworld II to run in XP SP2?

Hi out there, FInally I am learning to use DOS BOX in an effort to not have to keep hopping between systems in my game studies.....

I wrestled with Discworld II for quite a lot of time this past weekend.

I got it to load and play using DOSBOX, the latest Beta version and DeFend as the front end, BUT after all the installing, and tweaking, i kept getting a halt in the running of the game just after it started up saying

NO Super VGA detected, it keeps asking for that....and I found no help in searching the net, did see some get it to work in XP SP2 which is what I have, but i havent made it yet, any suggestions from anyone? I shall be most wonderfully grateful

PS I am studying Kurufinwe and AFGNCAPP helping thread with Teramax last year helping him get DW2 to load, I may have made some mistakes with the install, but I used DeFend for much of it, so maybe not, we will see. Wezyap also posted a very nice DOS crash corse a few months ago thanks to all,
so maybe my learning curve will improve but in the meantime, am i up against a hard wall with the Super VGA thingy or will I be able to sneak around it with proper use of DOSbox and DeFend? I hiope so.

My systsem is:
AMD 3300 1/6~ghz, 400 GB Hard Drive, 2.5 GB RAM, XP SP2, Audigy Z2S Snd Crd, GeForce 6600 Vid Card, with 256 RAM, I also have a WIN 98 SE with 5 GB HD, Snd Blaster Pro, and some dinasours, but I hope to get my main library of games installed on the XP, hence my efforts ....thanks again for all the great past posts, I am very appreciative of everyone helping everyone and helping us learn as we go.

Well, I figured it out last night, and there are some good threads out there on Vogon about getting Discworld to run on XP, basically the game as released had a both WIN 95 AND a DOS version either of which work fine, fully installed, you can use DeFend and DoxBox on the DOS verision and it works fine and you can just use compatiblity on the WIN 95 version and it should work for most older vid cards and you can do some tweaks for newer ones. I am playing through Discworld I again to get ready for II, and enjoying I very much.

Thanks for the past posts on the Discworld problem.
