Paradise - giving sand dab to fisherman

I managed to catch that fish thing but I when I try to give it to the fisherman Ann won´t do it. I have looked at two walkthroughs and according to them this should not be difficult. Anyone with some advice on this weird problem?

If I recall correctly, you have to speak with Goodday first.
