80 days cd problem

I have the 2 cd version of the game and when I try to start the game the cd just keeps spinning in the drive and the screen is black. The installation went fine and I used the v1.1 patch but trying to run the game is not going well. Anyone here who has had this problem and can help me out a little.

Have you tried it on another computer? If so, and the problem's the same, that at least tells you it's something with the disk and not the computer.

Sounds like it could be a dirty disk, or a drive going bad, or both. Look at the surface of the disk -- any scratches or abnormalities that you can see?

It works on another computer so the disks are ok.
