Sanitarium - dialogue text gets "OKd" by itself

tricky to explain -
i have windows 98. in the circus level(and and all subsequent ones),when i click on any npc,the dialogue text just progresses on its own at a speed at which i cant read (no sound) so i have no idea whats going on and what i have to do its like the "next dialogue box" button being pressed continuously on its own

Have you tried to uninstall and re-install the game ?

Sounds like a problem a pirated version of the game would have. Am I right?

heh heh i thought it would be obvious
in India, pirated versions of adventure games are all thats available easily
