Default The Best Game This Year

What's the best game you've played this year? I know, the year is only a bit more than half over, but I was curious as to where everyone stood at the half mark. At the end of every year, I sit down and think "what was the best game I played this year?" So how about you? I still have to think about it, but i'll get back to you.

Do you mean a game released this year, or a game that I played this year (that could was released any time?).

Whoops! I forgot to mention that. Doesn't matter when it came out, just whatever you've played.

I haven't played that many games this year, but, so far, I'm going to say Psychonauts. It gave me a lot of frustration, though, with a couple sections, but overall, it's the most fun and entertaining game I've played in awhile.

That has to be Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. What a game And do yourself a favor and get the PC version. It is far superior than all the other versions if you use a gamepad

I am a moronic idiotic fool. I forgot about Psychonauts. It's definitely Psychonauts.

Doesn't matter when it came out, eh? Mine - The Fool's Errand - is from 1987, then. Try to top that

Cool.

Psychonaut right now. My vote could likely change when Civ IV comes out end of the year.

The best game that I've played for the first time this year has been Still Life.

You must not play many games then

Don't get me wrong, it was a good game, but the best?

Oh man I can't wait for civ 4. I have wasted so many days (and nights) playing the first 3, and the 4th one seems to address a lot of the gripes I had with the previous ones.

*shrugs*

I don't have the means to run out and buy every game that comes out, and I really only buy adventures.

The only other new games I bought this year were Amerzone, Syberia 1 and 2, Dark Age of Camelot, and Medal of Honor.

Thief Gold, although that was a replay, so I'll have to go with Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. Beyond Good and Evil brings in second place.

Haven't played any 2005 releases yet.
