Seasons of Sorrow
Yo!
Fallen Seraph/Desert Rose here, leader of an online amateur Role Playing Game development project for the PlayStation 3 (It was for the PS2...till it was too late): Seasons of Sorrow. This post is to basically create hype and awareness of our project; and some place potential team members can learn of the project. Savage Digital Savage Digital is a team of six people as of now (One coder, one music composer/sound editor, and four designers). We are quite small but mainly because I was focusing on getting the story done and finding voice talent (before they dissapeared)...we have about 12 voice actors working on this project. Our goal: To create a Role Playing Game for the PlayStation 3 that we can be proud of and people will enjoy (and possible learn something from?). Seasons of Sorrow: The Story In Seasons of Sorrow, you take the role of Seth Locksley, a famous, but feared assassin who is suffering from memory lapses. When your friend, a leader of a rebel organization, offers to take you with him to the future you jump at the opportunity in hopes of finding archives of your past, and possibly answers to all your questions. You reach the future, but instead of your hopes being fulfilled, you are dragged back into a fight for freedom you had long ago quit; and given more problems and questions. While you search for answers, your girlfriend’s ghost comes to help along the road. Another girl who looks exactly like your girlfriend lives in the future but no one can explain to you why that is so; and to make matters worse, another girl appears who also looks like your girlfriend but they each have something which sets them all apart. The only resemblance they share is the deep look on their faces, in their eyes and their past. You control Seth as he travels to find the truth and avoid some mysterious stalker. We Are Recruiting! The reason for this post besides bringing awareness of our project is to find suitable people to work with us. Please take a look at our Recruitment page on our website, so that you know what our Criteria is for our members. The numbers in parantheses (x) indicate how many people we need for that post. If a post doesn't have a number, then it means it doesn't have a limit and we need as many as possible. Welcome to the forum.
This doesn't seem like it'll be a freeware product when it's done (that's how we define Underground), so I moved your post into the General Gaming forum. I hope you are able to find the people you need. Good luck with the project! |

I've been a storyboard artist for over 4 years now, and I know people in the animation with over 30 years experience who're still prone to making mistakes, and they're the best in the business. If you ARE going to hire people, at least hire people who specialise in what they're doing, so they KNOW what to do! Comic books don't have the same language in any way as storyboards. Good luck, though.

Hey, no prob. You guys seem quite young from the forums. But having seen what a teenager can do given 3DsMax, HL2 and a HDR renderer, I'm sure you'll do well.
Just buy yourself Shot By Shot by Steve Katz. You'll find everything you need to know about screen direction in there. It's quite a acedemic book, but if you really want to create the best direction you can in-game, you can do no wrong.
