I know Chris (remixor) uses his computer monitor to play Xbox games. He may have some info on this.

Oh. I dunno, then. But I heard it's possible to do. I know you can do it with a PS2 controller.

I don't see why they wouldn't work, though you'll probably need a driver.

If you're not affraid of little modding, you could also take a look at this. Good luck

I ask because I just bought one off of ebay for $6. But thanks for that link for the driver, I was actually looking for one, and you made it 30948394 times easier for me. Thanks for the help!

What does that driver do? It simply facilitates the controller, makes your computer recognize it so to play a PC version of an Xbox game?

It sounds much better when you whisper it and lick your lips after:

"Th-th-thrustmaster...."

I have one, and it works great. That's not the right cable, though. That's a male USB to male Xbox controller connector, and you need a male usb to female controller connector.

I doubt the picture is a picture of the actual product. Acording to the auction, it's what i'm looking for:

I bought the smartjoy x from liksang, using the xbcd setup utility. So many PC games don't have satisfactory gamepad support *cough* psychonauts *cough* even the ones you expect to *cough* colin mcrae rally *cough*.

Is it hard to set up the joysticks that are on the xbox pad?

They don't seem to be as easy to calibrate as say in Halo 2, and the ones that are automatic like Prince of Persia don't feel the same as on the xbox.

There's more functionality of setting up a gamepad in the source engine than in the engines of games that actually use a gamepad.

The Sands of Time is probably the worst in this regard, and so far Pro Evolution Soccer 4 has been the best.
