probably special. although at work SP stands for smart price, a truely horrid range of cheap nasty products manafactured for a supermarket.

It stands for "the buttons are too close together, it's ugly, and I'd rather buy the cheaper original that looks much better anyway."
I might be wrong, though. - Evan

Last time I checked, "SP" stood for "Evan is a bitter bitter hater."

I really like the SP. I have fairly enormous hands (compared to most people) and the buttons are fine for me. What really does it is the fact that you can close it up (no scratches, ever!) and more than anything the BACKLIGHTER. Praise the Lord! No huge cumbersome aftermarket kit and the ability to play in rather low-light conditions.

No, that's the absurd part. I'm 5'4". I happen to have been born with a particularly extreme case of scoliosis, which essentially makes my torso much shorter than it should be. Everyone else in my family is over 6 feet (including my 4-years-younger-than-I brother), so I still inherited the big hands and feet, long legs, and deep voice (I have the lowest range of anyone in any of my music classes, for example). Sigh... The biggest problem is the stupid social custom that the male must be as tall as or taller than the female.

You forgot the mention the short neck... (Sorry, I couldn't resist. I missed the whole neck-mocking thing in its first incarnation, so I just had to ). I'm pretty short too, I'm about 5'6" or 7, although I have very very small hands, almost girlishly so
