Woah! Only 8 of the 40 are non-licensed games? That really suprised me, just shows how short on good ideas the games idsurty is at the moment. Either that or gamers really will buy anything.

Perhaps a few adventure games need to get a few licenses. Pete Samprases' Broken Sword anyone? Appropriate as it will be a tennis game

Jak II is up one place. Its nice to see it not only hanging on but improving. Crash Bandecoot has been in the charts for a very long time now, its a simular situation to when Rayman 1 stuck in the UK charts for 5/6 years on the psx despite being a bit crap.

Soul Calibur II. All three versions are added up and counted as one in the charts, as always with multiformat releases. The Gamecube version has outsold the others and is published by Nintendo. The Xbox and PS2 versions are published by EA.

Final Fantasy was never on nintendo in the UK. It all started with Sony on the PSOne and has been tightly ingraned with sony ever since.. although they may say different, virtually no-one cared about final fantasy in the UK until 1997.

FF has been very strong on both sony consoles. Releases of the past games have been about all thats keeping the PSOne going in terms of new releases over the past two years (along with dance games, beyblade and yu-gi-oh)..

So anyway the GBA "return to nintendo" gets treated as nintendo stealing another franchise to try to make people buy their console (like MGS & Resident Evil). Not to mention the extremely low profile release, nintendo shouldve been shouting from the hills over having a FF game yet there wasnt even an advert outside the nintendo magazines. Ive yet to see it on sale outside of a specialist online retailer either..
