man i been looking up on what the second one might have to offer us, and i remember how stylish the last one was, but it was the coolnes of it all that made it so dope. One of the big factors which helped it be so cool was the cool sayings he'd say as you used an object/killed an enemey/ or interacted with a certain feature.

well anyway

as he uses the microphone, thing which made it great is i'd played it for ages and i think i interacted with the mic by accident and it just had me laughing my head off

to be honest i hope theres more of these in the new one and a lot more aswell as some revisited from the original. what do ya'll think

i might be off on some qoutes, might be a bit rusty in the memory department since its been so long since i've played these games.

i've never heard of either of them

But before I sound grudgingly: I don't care though. I think it was good ol' postmodernism of the Duke and it totally fit the style and theme. It's just, well, plain damn fun to point it out every time

Well, they're not new movies, so you may just not be old school enough.

To put it simply, Army of Darkness is a zombie movie, and They Live an alien movie. (I have yet to see They Live, however.) Bloodspray and one-liners are abundant, and Duke basically used these lines verbatim. "I've come to kick ass and chew bubble gum... and I'm all out of gum!" is from They Live, for example, and "Hail to the king, baby!" is from Army of Darkness.

Definitely see the first two Evil Dead movies before you see AoD, though, since it's the third in the trilogy.

It's been a while since I played the game, but I do believe Duke shouts "This is my boomstick!" when he picks up the shotgun. Indeed.

ahh i see now, see i assumed they were old games, but i see they are films now, so no i wasn't around in the 70 80's film times lol
and that explains it all.

but yea i hope we definatly get some new cool sayings...
