Obscure (Mortifilia): anyone play the demo yet?
Buggy as hell. Crashed on me several times, as well as freezing up. But other than that, it actually kinda looks like fun. You and a friend can play as teammates in co-op, kinda like that Resident Evil game. But if you play alone you can switch characters at will (unless the character dies). Would have been good times on the Xbox version but my niece is a poosy wuss and refuses to play it with me if I get it. No one else wants to play. Damn.

I've played through the game on PS2 (in coop mode), and it was great fun. I really liked how we had to work together to survive. If you have a friend to play with, this is a great game. If you're alone it's okay, but then I'd rather buy (for instance) Forbidden Siren.
As for the PC-version, I tested the demo and noticed no bugs. |

Downloaded the demo. Looks interesting so far... but, i get killed by the first damn monster that appears in a game. Is it possible to set the difficulty level in full game? I'd like to enjoy a story without worring of getting killed all the time.

I'm wondering if the demo makes you get killed. Seems that way. There's a cutscene after that conveys that Kenny (your character) has gone missing.
In any case I'm much more inclined to get Silent Hill 4 over this one.

That was their intention, yes. Buffy and teen horror flicks like I Know What You Did Last Summer were among the game's influences.

Last I heard, Silent Hill 4 was getting lackluster reviews accompanied with the occasional "doesn't make sense".

That's typical of any Silent Hill game. Average scores of mid 70s/100, across the platform board. Which means it's good enuff.

I had the feeling that you weren't supposed to survive, but at least you're supposed to get a little futher (I get killed when you're pushing the box), I played again today... I configured my gamepad to paly this game, and it worked fine... I get to the part where you use the light boost for the first time... And the game goes crazy! It switches to another window, and other weird stuff... To make matters worst, even though I was using the light boost I couldn't walk any further... So I quit.... But I'm going to give it another try... I have a gut feeling you can make it to the ladder before meeting your doom... EDIT: I knew it! I beat it! I made it to the stairs this time! And the reason it was acting weird is because pressing Ctrl-R and Shift seems to call up other programs, so I just closed them... Since you see the stairs in the "ending" I guess it was obvious the game ended there.... If you make it to the stairs someone just covers it up before you can leave, but at least you see the character climbing them.... And it appears that this time the "ending" had voices, maybe a reward for beating the demo? Quote:
PS: I just realized, I don't even know if I own Silent Hill 3!

What the demo contains is the interactive part of the introduction sequence for the game. It works very well in the full version (where it's immediately followed by a cut-scene), but not so well in the demo.
