Your Thoughts On Nintendo Game Boy Micro
Hello
It s been a while i was tempted to buy a new handheld (my last one was the very first Game Boy back in 1990) and I ve always been tempted to buy a Game Boy Advance . Then A GBA SP And finally a DS After many reflexions I m not finding a lot of exciting games on DS for now and with the possible of the DS Lite is also another huge factor about not buying its current rendition . Take note that I m looking for the best screen possible and in a machine i can put easily into my trousers pocket . So I would be curious to hear about people here who are already owning a GBM . How good is this latest rendition of the GBA ? Thanks |

Finding DS games very interesting myself, I'd recommend waiting for the DS Lite and just buying it. There's really no use in buying the GBMicro too, because you can just play GBA games on the DS. But that's, of course, only if you can find some DS games you'll enjoy.

The game boy micro is pointless, its just an sp but without the flip cover and a smaller screen...hell i dont see how you could enjoy anyhting on a screen that small...
Though maybe one day when they are going preowned for ÂŁ10 ill buy one for a keyring

The only real good thing about them is their size. Seriously, they go awesome on your keyring and just slip into your pocket and you don't even notice it's there. They're great for that, but not worth buying for any other reason.
The SP is small enough to fit in your pocket still, and it's a lot more fun to hold than the Micro. Either way you're better off sticking with your SP or waiting until you buy your DS. Micro would be a sheer waste of money.

Personally, I think it looks way too big to be a keyring. Besides, how do you prevent the keys from messing up the screen?

ACK!

The Game Boy Micro is the only "portable", portable console, I guess it was made for people who like cute and small gadgets?
I prefer playing GBA games on GBM instead of the DS actually... But I don't think it's made for normal gamers, as far as I know, you can't plug it into the GC and there isn't an official link cable either....

And looking at that screenshot....a nes version of one of those would almost match the original controlers perfectly! It may even convice me to cave in and buy one....when they get cheaper of course

Maybe, but you want the Famicom version anyway.

I see it as Nintendo taking old technology, giving it new packaging, and ass raping their fans into buying something they already own. And as a chance for Nintendo fans to willingly be ripped off.

wow this thread is turning into a "game boy micro bashing contest" while it wasn t supposed to be
I m attracted to this little machine for two things : - The size of it - The quality of its screen (which is better than SP one) Since it s the same price as the SP and GBM looks better (to me) and smaller and really "portable" I was attracted to it . DS is another matter, there s not enough DS only games exciting to me (Phoenix Wright is the only one for now with perharps Ultimate Spider-Man too) . DS Lite remains a possibility for me in the future, I was mainly curious about GBM quality from owners of it here , seems only one out of u really owns it And yes The Famicom edition looks great but can be buy only on asian sites and it will cost probably extra money buying it from there |

I wouldn't mind a GameBoy Micro but can't justify the expense. I personally find playing GBA games on the DS awkward so play those on my SP but the graphics are quite washed out next to the display of DS or Micro. All comes down to how much you want to play GBA games with a prettier screen
