God save us. The 50 Cent movie will probably do amazingly well. Grr.

Actually, British movieprogramme Film 2006 rated the 50 Cents movie pretty positive, so I think you shouldn't take everything for granted.
The game, of course, deserves the course of action that was undertaken (and quickly ceased and desisted) by UK Resistance: putting the entire staff on the black list.

The Game has been banned in Australia but not in the UK as far as I can tell.

Well, to be fair to the guy, you can't blame him for trying to make even more money I mean, the guy can't rhyme or rap for shit (well not in thesame league as say KRS ONE, although he's miles ahead of someone like Ja-Rule), but he does know how to capitalise on his 'bulletproof' image, and he probably knows he won't be in the rap game forever (or alive much longer, take your pick), so what's wrong with trying to make as much money as he possibly can?
It's too bad the game sells so much more copies than any of the actually decent games of recent times, but you can hardly blame him for that, in thesame way you can hardly blame him for keeping gansta rap alive or for making hiphop even "more violent" than it already was, that's usually the handywork of deranged and obsessed fans (of the street gang variety). |

Still, a world where the 50 Cent game sells 1 million copies and Psychonauts bombs is pretty depressing. |
