here

For all of you who don't know Stainless Steel, they are the developer of Empire Earth.

Man that stinks I was really looking forward to Rise & Fall : Civilizations at War. I guess there is not that much room anymore for independent game studios

Hang in there, kitten. Keep an eye on what the individual former members of Stainless Steel Studios are up to, they're bound to resurface in good places sooner or later.

That guy who helped designed the Thief games - Emil Pagliaro or something - ended up doing the stealth levels for Oblivion, and I am sooooooooo looking forward to it.

The game was reported to be only a few bug fixes away from being completed.

That's a real kick to the developers balls. Midway sure can be a nice firm.

Thanks Trepsie. The sucky thing is that the game was supposed to be released this winter. I saw it at E3 and it looked in very good shape. But Midway, being the very nice publisher they are, decided to push it back to next year because of their financial state, and they did not provide the developer funding for that period. Being a small independent developer, Stainless Steel couldn't survive that period without releasing the game, so they collapsed.
