<nerd>OMFG please pull me away from my PC. Can't. Stop. Playing.</nerd> Also, one of the things that hurt Throne Of Bhaal is, that you're playing with a party of level 25+ characters. At the end of BG1, I had a bunch of level 5 characters, and that game took me months to complete. I mean, WTF? Level 25+ is almost God-like in D&D. Okay, that makes sense, in a way.
Spoiler: But all the areas in the expansion are just places filled with monsters/bosses waiting for you to get killed. So you're forced to figure out what spells to use to defeat all those badasses. Otherwise: Not a chance in hell. Please reload. Reload again. And again. And again. That's so totally different from the original game. Still, it gets better near the end. Oh, and: Consider this thread to be hijacked!

dungeon siege 2 leveling up was even better than BG i reckon, it was well paced. Whatever level u are only the enemies a fair few levels under you (when backtracking and stuff) will be easy. (tho i wish the game overall was harder)
When u finish the game u can start at the beginning continueing your level and all ur items + things, not just making the replay properly challenging again but also continuing the new better items. I'm still only level 49 near the start of 2nd play thru ... (there's 100)

Isn't Dungeon Siege just a pretty pretty Diablo clone? I don't like power (RP) gaming that much.. which is exactly the reason I have doubts something like WOW would appeal to me. I bet that on your average server it's all about leveling your char up, collecting items, and little else. What about some role-playing? Some interaction between the characters in the pretty world Blizzard has created? What a waste. Or is it?

I've installed the expansion (Tales Of The Sword Coast) for the first time. Didn't have it the first time through some years ago.
I have to ask.. I just have to... ARE BIOWARE FRIGGIN' NUTS? I have a lvl 5-7 party of 5 and I travelled to that Werwolve Island. I'm in the shipwreck, and.. honestly, that's just waaaaay over the top. Every hit of these beasties does a whopping 15+hp damage and they attack in groups of 5 or 6. What were they thinking? Kill wolf, retreat, quicksave, kill wolf, retreat, quicksave, get your asses kicked, reload, kill wolf, die, retreat, kill, die, retreat, kill, quicksave, die, die, die, reload, reload, reload, quicksave, quicksave. That's no fun!

Finished NOLF yesterday, I loved it, but I'm not sure if I'll go with NOLF2 straight away, I need a break.
Btw, yesterday I also found out that a friend's older brother works for BioWare (though the guy who told me that said "they made Asheron's Call" so maybe he thought Turbine).

Currently Playing, whenever I have some spare time and in no particular order:
-Knight of the Old Republic II: Sith Lords (loved the first one, this one seems a bit iffy) -Quest for Glory V: Dragon Fire (playing it for the third time as Paladin.) -Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project (Funniest game ever + sexy babes. ) -Five Magical Amulets (A tinsy bit boring, but a nice game. I wish there were voices though.) -Kings Quest 8: Mask of Eternity (never actually finished this game, ran into a bug, now I plan to finish it.) -Quest for Glory 3 (finished this game like 10 times, but its just so great. ) -Age of Mythology: Age of Titans (playing it for the second time, one of the best RTS games ever.) Looking forward to play: Quake 4 (Quake 2 was a legend when I played it back in the day, now bring on the sequel. ) Tomb Raider 7: Legend (throughout all the years finally a decent looking tomb raider after all those clones.) And a few other that I can't remember.

Yes. I finished that island (in fact, I've just finished the entire game for the second time in my life, hehe), and have to say, the plot twists in that particular quest were worth it. I skipped Durlag's Tower, though. Wow, that's hard. But since all these add-on quests are not plot related, I didn't have the motivation to dig any deeper. And moved on to Icewind Dale II.

I'm installing Sherlock Homes and the Secret of the Silver Earring right now. Other than that, I'm currently playing Diablo II, and hope to play through Myst III in the coming weeks. I've had Myst IV for a year now and am dying to play (and then get Myst V), but I refuse to until I beat Exile, and I haven't played Exile in months and months. Last year during NaNoWriMo, I played (and finished) Riven to break up the monotony of writing and get away from it all, then started Exile and forgot to finish it. This year I'm hoping to finish Exile throughout November. Then I can let myself get stunned by Revelation.
