Default The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly is coming to consoles next year. That's really not a good idea in the first place. But to make matters worse, it's being made by Bits Studio, who made the awful, horrible Die Hard: Vendetta, which somehow made Die Hard uncool, something near impossible to do.

Can't look worse than Gun. I don't know why everyone seems so excited about that game, it looks just too awful to me.

Are they going through a classic movie phase at the moment in the gaming industry.

Godfather and Scarface are already on the way.

Wasn't there rumours of a Dirty Harry game as well.

"Get some new ideas and stop screwing with classics" is what I say.

Don't forget Taxi Driver. How the hell that translates in to a GTA style game is beyond me. It's as if these companies have completely missed the point of the movies.

It's so sad to think that these games, despite turning out shit or average will probably go on to sell loads, whereas original, creative stuff like Psychonauts and Beyond Good & Evil will be financial flops. Gamers these days really need to wisen up.

Yes! One step closer to Citizen Kane Extreme Sledding: Rosebud Unleashed!!

I'll admit that if done right, it would be a cool game, but this classic movie-videogame stuff is getting out of hand... oh, who am I kidding? I'm going to buy it the first day, I'm weak

I think it's only fair. Why should we be the only ones to see our loved games and their stories get pissed on by hollywood? It's about time the reverse happened. Let the bad adaptations of classics come. I bet most of you won't be buying any, so why care?

It's a simple fact there's a lack of creativity in both media types, so get used to this, it's gonna happen more and more for this and the next year, I bet.

I thought the Western fad for shooters was over. Then again, Darkwatch just came out.

Yes, and Eastwood is doing the voice work. I wonder if he'll contribute to the Man with No Name games?

The other one is the Bond game with a young Sean Connery(who's also supplying the voice)

Sergio Leone must be rolling in his grave.

It's almost like Spike TV is getting into the game industry. Up next, every Jean-Claude Van Damme movie will be made into a game.

Of all the movies mentioned in this thread as theoretical games, "The Warriors" is the only one that seems logical. I mean, in the movie a street gang is wrongfully accused of a murder and has to both clear their name and manage to get back to their home turf while overcoming all sorts of dangerous obstacles in New York City. Doesn't that description sound like a computer game already?
